In order to ensure that an email address you use on MagPortal.com really belongs to you, we assign an "email verification number" to your email address which works like a password that you must enter whenever subscribing to mailing lists, data feeds, etc. We send this verification number to you by email, so you can only obtain it if you really have access to the email account you are trying to use. You should safeguard this verification number as you would any other password. If you forget your verification number, you can return to this page to have it emailed to you again.

Note that the email we send will contain the IP address of the computer you are currently using so that if you enter an email address that is not your own, the real owner may be able to use the IP address to help determine who you are.
