BusinessWeek says economist Alberto Cavallo developed
software that calculates real-time inflation by tracking 5
million products sold on 300 e-commerce sites.

Irving Picard has $10 billion in hand and BusinessWeek says
he is suing banks and others he claims profited from
Madoff's fraud for $100 billion more.

The SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission are in
a severe budget squeeze, and BusinessWeek says layoffs may
be the only answer.
